We were instructed to search for and purchase antique literature by Crypriot authors and revive it by designing new covers for it. My choice was an anthology of mourning poems composed for the death of the poet’s mother. Initially, I was to provide one favored cover design as well as two alternatives based on the book itself and its contents. Then, the favored one would be used as a basis for the designs of two more book covers of my classmates’ choice, in the same sense as a series of books under the same publisher. I heavily incorporated marbled and flower pressed paper collage into all of my own designs.
