This website, was developed during my internship at ThinkPositive New Media for a marine company called Kontor17, which has its base in Germany. Fleet suite, is actually a platform, that helps the customers of the company to register and login to the offering services of the company. The main concept of the website’s design is that Kontor17 is a stable, trustworthy, and reliable company that is always above its surroundings, with very high goals, exactly like a mountain. Images of high mountains were used in the website’s interface, and they always appear as blue, in order to be associated with the sea. Apart from this, they look like ships floating on a sea of cloud waves and create a calming atmosphere. Furthermore, references about the sea and marine life, exist in many parts of the website. The main colors that have been used for the website, are blue and orange. Blue color, symbolizes, trust and loyalty as well as sea and marine life. It gives a calming and relaxing effect to the user and makes him/her feel confident and secure. It is related to reliability and responsibility. The secondary color, orange, creates a feeling of warmth, enthusiasm, and success, that offer to the user a feeling of friendliness, in a formal website, and help him to become more associated with it.
