This thesis examines and records the perception of the Cypriot press during 80’s-90’s regarding homosexuality, whereupon posters and a zine will be designed, by intervening to some articles that have been analyzed in the study.
After searching the definitions as homosexuality, artistic intervention, artistic activism, etc., the study will be completed with the artistic intervention of Cyprus press’ articles relevant to homosexuality,
The aim of the thesis is to examine the Cypriot perception regarding homosexuality, through the Cypriot Press and to give a voice to LGBTQ+ community, today, in 2021, where homophobic comments and attitude are still existing toward them, especially from the Church.
